"Patches"
Please meet Patches! Patches is a very sweet and friendly boy. He's been through so much already and has quite a story.... He's hoping for his second chance!
Hello again from Claiborne Animal Shelter. We have yet received another sweet guy with an eye injury. Here is his story:
Meet "Scruffy" aka Patches. He was brought in by a wonderful good Samaritan that found him running across a bridge on July 5th. Matted, infested with fleas, Scruffy greeted us with a smile and a wagging tail. His fleas were so bad that the water ran red off his body. Soaking wet and trying to get the mats removed, we noticed his eye was severely injured.
Where scruffys eye once was there was only an unhealed hole. Our kind vet and groomer immediately went to work on getting Scruffy better, giving him a much needed haircut, removing what was left of his eye and stitching him up. That's when he adopted the new name "Patches".
As you can see he is tickled with his new haircut and is healing well from his surgery. He is in a temporary foster right now while he is resting. We would love to see him get into rescue and get his second chance on life.
