SAFE!! URGENT!! AL, Birmingham "Bella" Blind PBT **Bred, Abused, Dumped**

"Bella"

I am sending a desperate PLEA for help with a little girl that was found outside the downtown Social Security building in Birmingham, AL. I was made aware of her and immediately went outside to see what I could do to help. Once I got outside I saw laying under a car was this girl, she came out after coaxing her with her tail just a wagging, she was emaciated, had scars all over her face and neck, I could tell she had an ear infection so severe that her canal was swollen shut.
~
She had been seen drinking water from a mud puddle and trying to enter the building. She wanted nothing more than me to pet and love on her. Even with the life she had been dealt her tail was wagging, happy to get any affection offered from a stranger. I could not leave her there, she needed medical attention for her ear, I took her to the vet where she was fed and treated for an ear infection.
~
The doc waited until the following day to vaccinate. I knew that bringing Bella to my home was not going to be an option. The last addition to my home has caused havoc and to add another at this time would not be in the best interest for them or Bella. I immediately set out on a mission to find a foster for her until something more permanent could be found.
~
She was given her vaccinated the following day, tested for heartworms which it did not surprise me that she was positive seeing the condition she was in however, the most heart breaking news I got was that this little tiny Pit bull pup weighing in about 35 pounds, guessed to be between 5 to 7 years old, has been used to breed, possibly made to fight and just dumped like trash was also BLIND. My heart just sunk. How could anyone dump a healthy animal let alone one that is blind. The extent of her blindness is unknown but her other senses make up for her loss of vision. Honestly I would have never thought she was blind because she was able to get around so well in unchartered territory.
~
A friend once told me that she had made a promise to help all animals that God put in her path no matter the circumstances. I have developed the same philosophy. So now I am here, pleading for someone to PLEASE Help me! Help her! Every day she spends in boarding could be devastating for her. I want nothing more than to let her know that life is so much better than the one that she has been dealt. Humans have been unfair she does not deserve the life she has lived. I want her to be able to live out the rest of her life in peace, harmony, with love and compassion.
~
I am asking you to please open up your heart and home for an angel in need. You will give a little only to get so much more in return. If there is anyone willing to help me with her I will provide everything she will need from food, bed, crate and meds. All I ask is for you to supply the love that she has been robbed.
Please consider, fostering, adopting and if nothing else sharing. To assist with the boarding or vetting for Bella, you can call the vet directly: Beckers in Homewood AL, 205-871-2371

  1. I'm in east TN, and I am pretty sure my landlord would kill me, but if I had a way to get her I would still take her anyway. What a shame, people are evil.
