SAFE! IA, Sioux City "Lisa" Nearly Blind Cocker Spaniel **Rescue Only**

Lisa

Lisa is a beautiful, nearly blind Cocker Spaniel who came to the shelter from a breeder. She's very sweet and friendly, and even knows some commands! Lisa is looking for rescue so she can begin her journey towards having a loving family of her very own!! Please help!!!

We received the following information on Lisa –

Update 7/6 - She has been spayed and her cherry eye has been repaired

4-5 yr old, 22 lb female cocker spaniel. Good with kids, dogs and cats. Came from a breeder, so may need work on potty training. Sweet, Loving, Knows how to sit, Walks on a leash, Very friendly; nice nice dog! She deserves so much more than what she has received in life! The ideal lap dog for someone! Legitimate 501c3 rescues in Iowa and surrounding states only please.

Additional Comments: Has a mild ear infection; being treated with otomax. Diagnosed by a local vet with "dry eyes” ; nearly blind from lack of treatment on them. They are very clouded over with pigmentation. The vet has put her on rewetting drops which will probably need to be done for her entire life, twice daily. They think the cloudiness and dark pigmentation may clear up with time and her eyesight may possibly return. She also has cherry eye in one eye which may be somewhat related to the dry eye.
