Candace is an adorable female Mini Poodle X, only 6 years old, with a ruptured left eye and needs to find her forever home or rescue NOW!!! She must be in so much pain!!! Candace is in the Super Urgent Album because of her eye injury and needs aggressive medical attention NOW!!!. A ruptured eye will likely not be visual and is painful!!! Please help! Medical Summary SCAN NEGATIVE BARH ruptured left eye (os) - clotted wet blood around the eye - cleaned with warm water small focal inflammatory area /rubbing on rt cheek and caudodorsal part of the pelvic moderate dental tartar and staining Temp : 101.78 F HR - 190 bpm, resp - normal AMB x 4 friendly and didn't show any aggression during exam dirty ear - au not interested for food at this moment seen by Dr. liaghat - rec eye enucleation given 0.5 ml of Pen-G sq and 0.15 ml of metacam as per Dr. Liaghat nosfWeight 8.6

DO NOT call and say you are adopting unless you truly intend on physically going to the shelter to adopt the dog. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the dog’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the dog. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how dogs fall through the cracks and end up being killed.
DO NOT e-mail unless serious about adopting and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed.
