Poppy is a happy, sweet, absolutely beautiful, female Australian Shepherd X deaf puppy, only 5 months old, who can be PTS at anytime!!! Being deaf doesn't affect her wonderful spirit and Poppy will bring lots of love and joy to her new home. Please help!!! Poppy needs to find her forever home or rescue NOW!!! If you find you are not in a position to help at the present time, please share and pass her information on quickly. Thank you.
Poppy is 5 months old and weighs 30 pounds. She is currently at the Mendocino County Animal Care and Control shelter located at 298 Plant Road in Ukiah, CA. 95482. You can meet this dog or any of the dogs listed under Mendocino County Animal Care and Control by going directly to the shelter or making an appointment with the adoption coordinator by calling 707-467-6453. Although our usual adoption policy is, first come, first to get the dog, we do make special arrangements with people traveling long distances, so contact us to find out how to have a dog held for you. All dogs are spayed and neutered before they can go home with you. If you rent you must have written permission to have a pet. If you live in Mendocino County any dog you have now must be licensed. Shelter hours: Wednesday: 10-7 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 10-5 Sundays Monday and holidays: CLOSED Adoptions must begin 1/2 hours before closing. You may find more information and photos of this dog at Paws to Adopt. or at Mendocino County Animal Care on Facebook. THANK YOU for considering a shelter dog.

I live right by here. I will call tomorrow and check on this girl. I highly doubt that she was put to sleep as this is just an awesome shelter and the director Bliss, is one of the best shelter mangers this place has ever had. This girl came in with at least 4 dogs from the same hoarding situation. They will not put a dog down simply because it is deaf!
