Shih Tzu: An adoptable dog in Prestonsburg, KY

LORD BYRON is an 8 year old Shih Tzu male who came to us on 5-1-12. Byron is completely blind due to cataracts. When he came to us, he was so matted that we weren't even sure if there was a dog under all that hair! Turns out, there was! He's housebroken. Doesn't bark. walks in circles until he decides where he is and listens very close for a clue to your whereabouts. Once he finds you, he wraps his paws around you and doesn't let go till he gets a tummy rub. he runs and plays and is full of energy and on most days, you can find him napping under my desk :) If you are interested in this dog/puppy and want additional information (Still available?? All adult dogs adopted from shelter are bathed and dipped, given all shots, including rabies, are spayed or neutered and have been.tested for the presence of heart worms before leaving the shelter. Adoption fee is $50 for puppies too young for rabies vaccinations and $65 for dogs old enough to be vaccinated for Rabies. Dogs being adopted out of state (to rescue organizations for example) require veterinary Health Certification. There is a $10 fee for this in addition to the adoption fee...
