Hi, my name is Brandy. I’m a 11 year old Golden Retriever mix and lived with my family all my life near Stroudsburg, PA . I was a much-loved family member until the other day when our 4 yr old human was holding a cookie and I tried to snatch it because he pulled the treat from my reach just when I thought I had it. I accidentally caught his hand and now they say I nipped him in the process. Being 11 years old, my eyesight is not what it used to be either so I don’t see as well as I used to and didn't mean anything- just wanted that yummy cookie. They also said I have an ear infection which hurts me so I was just not feeling well either. Now they want to banish me so I was taken to a kennel. I’m sad here and miss my humans. A kennel is no place for a 11 year old girl like me!
Although Brandy has lived with a pitbull, 2 cats and children right now she is not warming up to other dogs, especially those that are very dominanet. She’s not really fond of all cats so a home without them would be best. Due to her age, a home with older children would be best too. She is up to date on her shots, receiving meds for her ear infection and also spayed. She walks ok on a leash. She doesn’t care to be crated as she was crated a lot as a pup. She really doesn’t need a crate as she is housebroken and trustworthy when left home alone.
Please give this senior a chance. She just wants a family again and a place to lay her head where she can be comfortable and loved.
