He came in as a stray on 5/2.Ziggy is 11 yrs old. I put my name on him that I was networking, but it is up to the shelter manager as to how long he has. The shelter is VERY VERY FULL!! He is old and blind.
I took him out last Sunday and took some photos, He was very reluctant to come out of the kennel, I think because he is blind and knew where he was in the kennel. I picked him up and out of the kennel we went. He was a little afraid at first but when I got him into one of the smaller play areas he started waging his little tail and snuggling. He wanted a lot of attention. While petting him I saw a lot of ticks on him. Pulling ticks off is not a favorite of mine, Yuck !! They had put fontline on him earlier in the day, so hopefully that will get rid of the ones I did not get off of him. He walks nice on a leash and he might be housebroken. I did not feel any tumors on him, but he may have some lumps and bumps that I did not feel.
He is just the sweetest boy and all he wants is to be loved.
Hopefully we can find a place for him to live out the rest of his life with dignity and love.
