SAFE!!! PTS ANYTIME!!! AZ, Wickenburg "Tex" Blind Collie/Aussie X & "Savannah" Sighted Sister/Protector **Bonded**

***Rescued by Amazing Aussies***

Tex is an adorable, 7 week old, blind Border Collie/Aussie X and his protector, his sighted sister Savannah, a bonded pair, were found abandoned in the desert and are in dire need of rescue ASAP. The shelter that has them writes the following.

I am writing on behalf of Tex. He's a 7 week old Border Collie/Aussie mix puppy who was abandoned in the desert with his sister Savannah. Tex is blind and appears to have been born that way. He's healthy otherwise. He was brought here to the Humane Society of Wickenburg in AZ. I am the Shelter Manager here. Both puppies were in poor shape as far as needing water, food and cleaning up. It was obvious that Tex couldn't see. I have taken him to the Vet to confirm that. He's eating well and is as sweet as can be. His sister really looks out for him. She gets in front of him as if she is protecting him when I take a picture. I know his chances are not good though. It would be very hard to get him adopted and even harder to get them adopted together. I fear I may have to resort to putting him down. I'm wondering if someone could help me try to save him. Maybe there is a Rescue for little guys like him that might have room for him?

I know he could have a good life and I am so glad there's an organization like yours to help dogs like this. I will give him as much time as I can but will have to do something for him fairly soon. Believe me, I want him to have every chance he can. I just can't adopt him out to an individual at this point as he is not neutered. I've attached some pix of him.
