Hi - I'm Holly! I am an 8 year old female rat terrier mix and weigh about 10lbs.... I was turned in by my owner after 8 years and I have no idea why. On top of that, I may be blind in both eyes and am going to be checked soon to make sure. This could be something eye ointment could fix but we will find out tomorrow. In spite of everything, I am an incredibly sweet and friendly girl and even let the shelter workers look at my teeth with no problems. I can't tell you how scary it is in this shelter with no familiar surroundings or voices. Please please help me get out of her - I promise to be a wonderful and sweet companion to anyone who rescues me!
The below animals are currently in the Estill County Animal Shelter. They will DIE on Thurs, 04/19 at the latest. If the shelter gets full, which they always do, they will start euthanizing before Thursday. Please do NOT wait to contact us if you can help!! We can be available to assist with transport. This small regio...nal (five county) shelter fills up quickly and they euthanize every week for space. 99% of these animals don't have a chance if not rescued! These animals really need our help. Transport to Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati can be arranged. Transport a bit farther from our end may be able to be arranged with advanced notice. Please note that this is a small rural shelter and no vetting is performed at the shelter itself. The majority of the animals come in with little or no history provided. It is safe to assume that all of these animals will need full vetting when taken into rescue, and any medical needs they have will need to be addressed.
