Sweet Lou is a 5 year old Pit mix who was rescued from a high-kill New Jersey shelter. He is a very tender, loving and caring dog and is looking for the same in return. He has been through a lot, and has had a rough, hard life. Due to long-standing. untreated ear infections, Lou is deaf in both ears but if you speak clearly and and in close proximity to him, he can hear the vibration of your voice. He does understand hand signals for basic commands like sit, down, stay, go and others if you have eye contact with him as you speak and show him commands. Lou also has some skin allergies which respond to inexpensive medication and a bath 2 times a month. Lou is such a sweet and sensitive dog. He loves to be around people, including babies and toddlers, and other dogs. He is very mellow and down to earth and at times can be playful. He doesn't often play with toys but if you try, he will. With eating his own food, well he does just fine. He does beg sometimes for human food but what dog doesn't? After eating he always needs to go to the bathroom; if not he will just sit by the door and wait for you. He is crate trained and partially housebroken, depending how much water he drinks and how long you keep him waiting. He walks well on a leash but might pull toward your car because he loves going for car rides. Lou is very special so he needs a little bit more attention. If you are looking for a great companion to spend time with and also have some fun, then Sweet Lou is your dog. Lou's vet care included: neuter, complete blood work, all vaccines, microchip, and surgery to alleviate the pain caused by his untreated ear infections.

It's such a good post for our pets. I have a dog, named Bailey. Few days ago, he is troubled with ear infection. Then I went to a veterinary hospital. During physical exam a growth was discovered. This growth was inhibiting his air intake. Within an hour, surgery was performed and Bailey was breathing normally. Ear Infections in Dogs
