Simon is 14-15 year old, male, light brown (white frace) 20 lbs, short hair. He has cataracts in both eyes and is almost completely blind in one eye and has some hearing loss. He is neutered.
I am selling my home in Gig Harbor WA and relocating to Snoqualmie, Washington. My new residence includes one adult and two small children (18 months and 4 years). I took Simon Simon to Snoqualmie for a visit to see how he would interact with the children. During the visit, Simon Simon was anxious. I'm worried about the safety of the kids and Simon Simon. I can provide you with all his Vet records.
My vet advised during last check-up that he no longer needed some immunizations, because of his age. I can get shots if necessary.
Simon Simon is leash trained and enjoys traveling in the car. He was treated for fleas last summer and I can treat again now if necessary.
His teeth were last cleaned two years ago. He had approximately 20 teeth pulled. He is fine around older children and other dogs.
A Military friend asked me to care for Simon Simon while she was deployed to Afghanistan. She later asked me to keep him indefinitely. He sucks on his blanket and taps it with both paws....very cute. It looks like a soothing act and he does it off and on. Simon Simon does know some basic commands.
Simon Simon really likes to wrap himself in a blanket. He also likes to be chased when he has his rope in his mouth. He loves to snuggle against a warm body. He is trained to potty outside (I will give you his ramp too); he does poop more than any dog I've ever known.
Simon Simon's back legs have gone out twice. Once in 2008 and again in 2010. I confined him to a playpen for one month each time and carried him in and out of the house to go potty and to eat. He fully recovered from both episodes. He took medication both times and lost weight. He has had issues with peeing in the house, and recently started taking incontinence medication. I'm not sure if he actually has a problem or if he was peeing because of the urine smell. A year ago when he was tested for cushings disease the results were negative. A urine test last month shows he is now positive for cushings. He does not have any skin problems and is allergic to a specific antibiotic (will provide you with that drug name)
