SAFE!! OH, Hudson "Abe" Deaf PBT/JRT X

Deaf Abe is about 5 months old pibble/JRT mix. His current foster mom wanted to adopt him, but because he was thought to be 9 weeks old at the shelter and he had a case of demodex mange, the shelter would not let her adopt. So we found a rescue to sponsor and pull him in a foster to adopt contract. However, it has been determined that he is actually closer to 6 months old because he has all of his adult teeth.

So Anna took Abe home (his shelter name was Scooby), and introduced him to Alfie, her other deaf pibble. At first things were going well. But within a couple of days, Alfie started to show signs of stress. He stopped eating. He seemed nervous, ran after Anna's cat which he had never done before, and his "play" with Abe escalated into smack downs and blood draws on Abe's ears. So, Anna brought in a trainer that had helped with obedience training with Alfie. She was given instructions to assist Alfie in accepting his new room mate.

Unfortunately, none of those tactics worked. And Anna is now crating and rotating. She has asked us to help find Abe another foster home or foster to adopt home because she does not feel it right to have the two boys live their lives this way.

They are in Hudson, OH. But we can arranged transportation anywhere after screening and evaluation. Included is a you tube video of Abe in training. He is just the cutest little love bug. Anna says his mange is clearing up nicely, as well as the kennel cough he came with. And he doesn't eat like a starving orphan anymore.
