Salmoneus and Cobain were brought together to the Manhattan Care Center, relinquished as their owner could not care for elderly pets anymore. What a pair, a tiny male Cocker Spaniel and a large Labrador Retriever, both carrying the names of famous song writers. Salmoneus is a gentle soul. His coat is cream and silky but one wonders why is feet are so soiled with mud. What a sweet face he has. Salmoneus looks so lost but he comes along as I leash him and off we go for a walk around the block. Salmoneus walks reasonably well for a dog his age and even relieves himself as we hit the street. He likes to be petted, talked to and carried. He does not have a mean bone. Salmoneus is a lovely elderly dog whose mind is not senile. He responds well and clearly enjoys the attention given to him by his caretaker. He just need to be soon in a home environment, cared for and loved as he rightly deserves. Salmoneus is at the Manhattan Care Center. We are deeply hoping for a compassionate person to be Salmoneus' shining star.
