Salmoneus and Cobain were brought together to the Manhattan Care Center, relinquished as their owner could not care for elderly pets anymore. What a pair, a tiny male Cocker Spaniel and a large Labrador Retriever, both carrying the names of famous song writers. Graying faces always attracted me. Cobain wears a white mask circling still clear brown eyes. I wish I could say that it gives him a wise look but no....Cobain is lost in thoughts. His world has been turned up side down. Where is he? Where is his family, his home, his housemate...He is an older dog with ailments dealt with by his owners. A true family pet. Cobain is still a beautiful dog. He seems to have been well cared for. He is well nourished, his coat is thick and shiny. He is quite well behaved and friendly and his eyes light up a bit after some time spent together. Cobain walks well and seems to be housetrained. He can climb up stairs. He is still quite energetic for a 14 year old dog .Could there be an old Lab lover out there willing to light up the spark of life that Cobain still hide deep in his chest? To echo Kurt Cobain' s song," Someone", I will say:"take Cobain's paw and his pain will be in the past..."Cobain is at the Manhattan Care Center.
