I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 01/21/2012 from NY 11373, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

01/25/2012 Exam Type RE-EXAM - Medical Rating is 3 C - MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is NOTDETERMN, Weight 105.0 LBS.
VC: Geriatric QAR in cage. Was difficult to get out of cage - retreated to back of cage and was growling. EENT: Eyes cornea/ sclera/ conj clr but moderate nuclear sclerosis. NND. Ears cln. Muzzle but some tooth wear on rostral teeth. MSI: BCS= 9/9, obese. Hair matts on back, otherwise haircoat okay. Amb x 4, no limp or abnormalities. CV: HR= 90 , nm, nsa - but muffled (obese) L: cl and eup. Cough noted. Dog under another do g with cough Abd: too tense and obese but NSF UG: No MGT's noted A) Geriatric Obese but NOSF KC P) Doxy 100 mg 4.5 tab po sid x 10 day

A volunteer writes: It took me a few days before I was able to take Tanya out for a walk. She was extremely timid or may be she was just too exhausted from her stay on the streets and needed to rest. Today was the day. Tanya came out of her kennel. No question asked.... She is quite a big girl at 105 lbs. A good diet and plenty of exercise are in order .She has a beautiful dark brown coat, shiny and silky. Her eyes are clear and copper in color. Tanya is quite a gorgeous 9 year old Labrador Retriever, very gentle and easy going. She seems well behaved with people, other dogs and in general. She walks nicely on the leash, climbs stairs, seems to be housetrained and sits on command. Her gaze is very soft and her tail is happily wagging when she is being talked to. Tanya is truly a good girl. She needs some help in the fitness area but certainly not in being a pet. Tanya, without any doubt, will make an awesome companion. Tanya is at the Manhattan Care Center. Come and meet this beautiful girl, you will not regret it.
