SAFE!! Has til 1/13!! PA, State College Park "Scooter" Blind Senior Lab/Rottie X

He needs a new home this week, as the landlord is going to bulldozer the property. Scooter is approximately 8 years old, lab and rott mix (they think, aren't sure of his exact history), who was left behind when his owner and best friend passed away suddenly last month.
He is blind, which they think might have been from cataracts (not certain, though), both eyes are white when you look at him, and must be led around. They are unsure if he is neutered or when he last had shots, but said they'd be happy to pay for it if he needs to be neutered. He is good with cats, and they believe he was around kids the first year of his life, but don't know if he has since. At around a year, his former owner was given Scooter by his neighbor (who had kids), and he lived with his person the last 6-7 years. He went everywhere with his person, in the car, pretty much everywhere he went, and is an indoor, loveable dog. He barks when cars pull up and then calms down when he "sees" who has arrived. He barks to talk to his caretakers, to, such as barking when he is ready to come in after being let out, and seems happy when they are there and give him love. His caretakers aren't dog people, but guessed his weight at about 80 pounds. They said he isn't thin, is a little "wide," and was well fed on his food, dog treats, and hot dogs, which he loves. He also loves to chew on bones. Scooter misses his person, and his caretakers, who can't have pets, have been traveling back and forth to give him food and love. Lea Ann is also offering to assist with transport.
