My name is SAMMY.
I am a neutered male, black Labrador Retriever mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old.
I have been at the shelter since Nov 17, 2011.
He is in a High Kill “shelter” in Mobile AL and is going to DIE tomorrow (12/12) at 4pm without rescue.
He has been labeled aggressive but he’s just scared. Our evaluator said this about him: black K9 aggressive dog is essentially blind. no vision in L eye, impaired vision in his R eye. So his aggression stems from being frightened and not knowing the dogs around him. When the environment is less active and jostling, he is not aggressive. He is also neutered and being put out with un neutered dogs.
One of our volunteers meet him yesterday and said he warms up quickly in a quiet place and is very sweet once you give him a chance to figure things out. He just needs someone to give him that chance. This “shelter” will kill him without a second thought … he won’t get a 2nd chance.
