XXX URGENT!! MD, Baltimore "Benton" one-eyed PBT

This is Benton, he is a one eyed pit bull at BARCS in Baltimore, MD. Benton has recently been diagnosed with Lymes disease....being a one eyed pit with lymes disease is probably going to be a death sentence for this sweet young boy....please cross post to help save Benton's life.

Yesterday afternoon we sent Benton out to a local vet hospital to be evaluated for his lameness and he came back with a strong positive Lyme's test. He is now on Doxycycline for 28 days and Rimadyl for his discomfort.

Benton is the biggest sweetheart and I really hope there is a rescue out there who is willing to take him in. The chances of a Lyme's positive, one eyed pit bull being adopted from a shelter are not great but I think this guy would shine in a foster home where people could really get to know him. He is listed as 2 years but I'm guessing based on his teeth that he is even younger (as young as 10 months even), weighs 66# and has been vaccinated and is heartworm negative.

If you can help Benton please let us know right away.
