This family is losing their home and truly want to find this dog a wonderful home that will be able to fix his eye.
I have a very special shih tzu that I need to re-home due to financial hardship. His name is Jett and he is a beautiful 1 and a half year old, 7lb pure breed shih tzu. He needs someone who can really spend a lot of time with him because of an eye injury he got when he was a puppy. It now has a cyst on it and he is completely blind in that eye. It needs daily attention due to drainage and threat of infection. If it does get infected, it needs to be treated every time, no exception.
The eye could be removed but I don't have the money to get the procedure. I was told it would be $600. He does not need it to stay healthy but it would be in his best interest to someday have it done.
He is a very good dog. He is mostly house broken but still has accidents every once in a while. He loves to be right next to you all the time. He doesn't really bark that often. He loves to be held but is also content to just walk around with you. He likes most other dogs and cats. He will tolerate children pulling his ears and dragging him around by his tail. He may growl at them if they do but has never bitten anyone.
He would probably do better in a home with adults but would be no threat to children who visit. He is less than 10lbs soaking wet. There is a small re-homing of $50 to ensure a good home, but if an older adult wanted to take him, I would be willing to forget about that. He will come with every thing you will need and even a doggie diaper to ensure no accidents.
