Massie- a loving 8 year old Pekingese in desperate need of a loving home or foster immediately. Favorite thing to do is shower you with love and curl up on your lap.
Her story: Neglected of food and water, untreated eye infections lead to blindness, eyes ulcerated, extremely tight collar with 2 - 1/2 inch prongs pushing into neck for outdoor fence. Flea infested. Caretaker discussed "shooting" her, another caretaker putting her to sleep...I took her and her "adapted" brother a white Maltese to the vet for evaluations. Said Masie navigates very well even in unfamiliar environment. Currently getting eye drops for ulcer and moisture. Already looks much better. She is now flea free, and up to date with all shots. Will require drops for moisture and that seems to be all required with the exception of a nice grooming. She is currently boarded at a vet...funds for boarding running out....need home asap.
