Ella's status is now urgent. Her foster can no longer keep her.
This is a sweet little dog with a great personalty . Her special needs is that she is visually impaired (dry eye) and needs eye drops for her eyes.

According to the foster, she can see large objects and is not totally blind. She is impaired from untreated dry eye. She started on eye drops 4 weeks ago and her vision... has improved a little. She is 6 yrs old and is doing well in a home with other dogs. She is very friendly, but not easily excitable.
The foster says that she is a lapdog and is affectionate. She is not a barker. When the other dogs go out to potty, she goes with them and is not having accidents in the house. When she was found, her hair was long and she needed a groom, but she was not matted up. She had a collar, but no tags.
Ella likes to nap in a closet, so i would think she would do well in a crate. She has not been on a leash. He said she walks beside you and they have not needed a leash. Ella did well when she went to the groomer. I forgot to ask about the condition of her teeth.
The temporary foster really needs to get her out of their home and the dog will end up in the cityshelter if another home is not found for her. She is on eye drops for the dry eye and no other medications. Her heart worm status is not known by the foster.
