Lady (small beagle, blind in right eye) is already spayed/sponsored. Our dog shelter is busting at the seems.
Here is more information on Lady...
She actually gets along with everyone. Pretty much stays to herself (with exception to Bear) but if one of the dogs comes to her....she is fine with them. We vaccinate (DHLPP bordetella) and worm our dogs before they ever step foot into the shelter. They are then, with a brief time to adjust, spayed/neutered and given rabies vaccine. We did take her in to be spayed and she has her rabies vac. The vet thinks her to be 3 to 4 yrs old. Our guess is that these people got her and basically “stuck” her in a cage. She’d not been leash trained but we’ve been working on that. Her first time on leash, was to lay down on the ground and shake/shiver. Had no idea what to do. She’s a heartbreaker for sure.
Lady is a one-eyed beagle who also needs rescue.
I’m the director for a small, rural, no kill shelter located in Parsons, WV.
Lady is a one-eyed beagle who was confiscated for neglect and abuse. She had lived her entire life (3-4 yrs) in a very small wire cage. She was not socialized but also not aggressive....just very shy. Her nails had grown out and curled to the sides. From the toe nails and wire cage, her toes are now splayed. She sleeps with a rabbit that is twice her size and has quickly chosen Bear as her buddy. I’ll get pictures of them together.
Thanks for posting!!
