SAFE!!WA, Vancouver "Sebastian" Blind Chesapeake

Meet Sebastian, a seven year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever that came to the shelter as a stray. Can you believe no one has come looking for him? Sebastian is a great dog, walks well on a Leash, knows his obedience and appears to be housetrained. Being a big guy he does need a home with kids over the age of six and if there are older kids he would be living with please bring them in to meet him. Have other dogs? Sebastian would love to make friends before going home. Interested in giving him the warm, loving home he deserves? Sebastian is not on the adoption floor.
Sebastian is a special needs boy. He is blind in his right eye and can only see light and dark in his left eye. Being a Retriever he sees nicely with his nose and loves to play fetch. A complete eye exam report done by a dog Ophthalmologist can be read before adopting this very nice K-9 gentleman.

I volunteer at the Humane Society of Southwest Washington located in Vancouver Washington. They currently have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever That came to the shelter as a stray and is now available for adoption. He is totally blind in his right eye and can see light and dark in his left eye. His prognosis is he will also become blind in his left eye, according to an Ophthalmologist exam in Portland. Attached is a flyer I have posted on my FB and at several places around the area. My thoughts are I would like this very nice boy to find his forever home before he becomes totally blind.

Any help you can offer would be of great help, placing him on your FB or website. He is such a happy guy but may be starting to have kennel issues.

If you have any questions or want more information please contact me or use the contact information on the flyer.

Thank you,

George Knop
