Contact Christine at 972-612-8937. Transport might be needed if the new home is outside of the San Antonio area. In January an email alert went out about an 11 year old blind dachshund and a 6 year old dachshund who were living with an 88 year old woman who could no longer keep them. The two dachshunds had to remain together since the 6 year old is basically the seeing eye dog for the 11 year old. A couple in San Antonio adopted them, but that adoption is not working out. The dogs had lived in a house with a backyard and a doggie door and were independent with regards to doing business. The couple in San Antonio live in an apartment, and the dogs are needing to be taken out in the middle of the night, and the 11 year old is going inside the apartment when he isn't taken out. The couple will hold onto them while a new home is found, but they won't keep them long term. The dogs have to remain together and also need a house with a yard. A doggie door is available. The 11 year old is black and tan, 13 pounds, male, and is neutered. The 6 year old is red, 11 pounds, male, and is neutered. Both dogs are in good health and are up to date on shots. Both are friendly.
