DEAF, SWEET, YOUNG DOG IN CAGE TOOOO LONG – NEEDS SOMEONE TO CARE TO TRY AND HELP AND AT LEAST NETWORK! She needs something to live for and human contact….maybe just for people to take her home once in a while … Poor Babs (who is DEAF) is a Terrier mix and has been sitting in a cage at a city shelter for THIRTEEN MONTHS. She was dropped off at the shelter on Valentine's Day 2010. Babs is only 1 1/2 years old so she has spent almost her entire life in a cage. Unfortunately Babs was dropped at The Town of Hempstead Animal shelter in Wantagh.
