This is Ray Charles. He's currently residing at a high kill shelter in Atlanta, Georgia. Being that he is a pit mix, and blind on top of it, his chances of being adopted are slim to none. He is a shelter favorite because he's so sweet and mellow. The quote below is what a shelter staff member had to say about this darling boy,
"I have attached pics of my new love, mr ray charles. he is about a year old and blind as a bat. he is good with cats (he's spent all day in the office with me and he pays them no mind whatsoever except for smelling them). he's dog social, too. he is a little submissive and as sweet as can be. he just wants to give kisses and lay in laps. he may also be house-trained. he was in the office with me for about 6 hours and never had an incident--he waited until we took him outside to go to the bathroom... He is so sweet and an incredibly special dog. if anyone can assist, please do. the only thing worse than being a pit bull at the pound is being a special-needs pit bull at the pound."
Here is what another rescuer has to say about Ray Charles, "Oh my gosh this is the sweetest dog in the world! I met him today at Fulton AC, he is a love bug! He was in the adoptions room with the cats and was the sweetest. Please give him a chance, as he is special needs."
Please don't let this great dog die because he was born the "wrong" breed.
